Exemplar Responses
Exemplars are examples of scored student work. The Health Education Assessment Project (HEAP), under the guidance of ACT, scored thousands of student responses to performance assessment items. Good examples of a score point 1-2-3-4 for each performance item type in the concepts domain and six skills domains were identified. Commentary on the student response that explains the reason for the score is included with the student response.
Exemplars are organized into binders for three levels:
- Elementary
- Middle School
- High School
Exemplars provide hands-on experience scoring student work making the complete set of binders a great way to strengthen your knowledge of the HEAP scoring system.
