Committed to health, safety, and security, ToucanEd appreciates the opportunity to respond to the education and communication needs of the government sector, and we are particularly proud to work with projects devoted to various aspects of Homeland Security. We also support security initiatives by being a member of InfraGard.

If you are using funds through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) or any other federal or local funding stream, ToucanEd can work within your funding guidelines to accomplish your goals. Our development team can produce materials, promote education, or develop courses for a wide spectrum of needs, including capacity building, incorporation of best practices into effective solutions, improving performance, professional community services such as those supporting H1N1 vaccination, continuity of operations through workforce training, and interoperability planning.

Federal clients we have worked with include the United States Air Force, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Education, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and tribal entities such as Cherokee Nation.

We gratefully serve clients across the United States and of course, work closely with agencies in our home state of California, including the Emergency Management Agency (CalEMA), previously known as the Office of Homeland Security and Office of Emergency Services. Other California clients include the California Community College Chancellor’s Office, the University of California, the Franchise Tax Board, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Education, the California Maritime Academy, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and Police Officer Standards and Training (POST).

We have served agencies from more than 23 other states, including Arkansas, Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wyoming.

Clients from local jurisdictions include departments of health, school districts and county departments of education, fire departments, law enforcement agencies, and cities.

The core content curriculum of the one-day Pandemic Preparedness Awareness Course developed by the Department of Health Services and ToucanEd is a thorough, informative awareness-level training on pandemic influenza. Along with the California Department of Health Services, we have made this course eligible for the use of U.S. Department of Homeland Security (D.H.S.) Office of Grants and Training funds. We have found the Department of Health Services and ToucanEd to be committed to developing and providing quality education and training materials to advance emergency preparation for all segments, and we look forward to a continued relationship.
