ToucanEd Staff
Jerilyn White, MEd: Deputy Director
Jeri came to ToucanEd in the summer of 2005 to help the company define and execute a plan to reach its many markets. Working remotely from her home in Oceanside, California, Jeri serves on the senior management team, helping the company with strategic decisions and product planning; represents the company at conferences; works with clients to craft statements of work to meet their needs; and leads ToucanEd's marketing and sales efforts. Jeri works closely with many state agencies and corporate partners that share common safety, preparedness and security goals. She is also one of ToucanEd's certified trainers for its FEMA-certified pandemic preparedness course. Jeri has a BA in English and Speech and an MA in Education.
Her background includes experience as an elementary, secondary, and community college educator; an executive director for a regional program of a national non-profit serving homeless youth; and over twenty years in marketing. As a marketer, Jeri has been a senior manager at numerous companies, an independent consultant, and the president of a full-service advertising and public relations agency.
With a lifetime interest in education and training and a devotion to helping the community, Jeri finds that ToucanEd is the perfect venue for her passion and marketing skills. An extra bonus is that she has known ToucanEd President Kathleen Middleton since their early years of teaching middle school together. She enjoys representing a focused company based on the values, competencies, and strengths of its founder and supported by a talented, committed staff. Jeri is married to Clarke and they have one daughter, Alex. Jeri is CERT trained and a member of Oceanside CERT and also volunteers for Project KID, which cares for children in disasters.
